Established and registered as a member organization of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association (VUSTA), Center for Rural Economy Development (CRED), a Vietnamese non-profit organisation dedicates for the elimination of poverty and greater inclusion of disadvantaged groups including the poor, women, youth and ethnic minorities through greater participation and benefits from sustainable development and economic growth. CRED’s main operations includes:
- Manage and implement development projects from build project concept note/ full proposal to project detailed working plan, implementation and management;
- Package services in agro-forestry from consulting on certification of standards, training/coaching, providing tailor-made technical and technological solutions in sustainable agriculture and forestry to providing market information, trade promotion and business matchmaking;
- Packaged services in sustainable and responsible tourism range from selection, development and management to training and promotion of destinations
The Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development (ST4SD) project is funded by The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) for a duration of four years, from April 2023 to March 2027, implemented by and Center for Rural Economy Development (CRED) and HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in Vietnam (Helvetas Vietnam).
The main objective of the ST4SD project is to contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive tourism sector in Vietnam. In the long term, the project aims to support the creation of new livelihoods and promote sustainable economic development in the country.
After the inception phase (4 – 9/2023), the ST4SD project works in three target provinces, namely Quang Nam, Ha Giang, and Dong Thap, to support provincial strategy development for sustainable tourism.
Currently, the ST4SD project is seeking National Consultants to do tourism research and development, specifically as follows:
- A National Consultant to review the potential of specific sites for community-based development in Ha Giang province (TOR here )
- A National Consultant to develop sustainable tourism products, focusing on community-based tourism products in Ha Giang province (TOR here )
- A National Consultant to develop sustainable tourism products, focusing on agritourism products in Cam Ha Commune, Hoi An City, Quang Nam province (TOR here)
- A National Consultant to review and propose a roadmap to complete the Green Standards for Quang Nam province to be recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) (TOR here)
- A National Consultant to provide crucial data regarding the current tourist activity, supply chains, and potential future demand in Quang Nam province (TOR here)
- A National Consultant to develop sustainable tourism products, focusing on ecotourism products in Dong Thap province (TOR here )
- A National Consultant to provide qualitative and quantitative data on Sa Dec Flower City and Tram Chim National Park, tourist perceptions, and requirements (TOR here )
