Biotrade has been introduced and implemented in Vietnam since early 2010 and in Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia since 2020. The Swiss government, through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), has provided funding to support companies in the natural ingredients sector to produce sustainable products and export to global markets according to international standards. Biotrade is home to a community of companies exporting from Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia and importing from Europe, USA, Japan, etc. These companies are committed to sustainability and biodiversity, prioritizing the values of society, environment and people in their trading practices.
In Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar, many SMEs lack the skills and knowledge to participate effectively in trade fairs. In addition, the Business Support Organizations (BSOs) that are supposed to help these companies overcome this difficulty also have limited capacity and knowledge in this feild. This makes it very difficult for SMEs to take advantage of export opportunities at trade fairs. In order to help SMEs and BSOs maximize the effectiveness of trade fair participation, we are looking for a consultant or service provider to conduct an online pre-fair training course for them as followed details:
The training is expected to provide the participants (tentatively BSOs and SMEs in tea, coconut, honey, spices sectors) with the basic knowledge and skills on how to utilize tradeshows for market analysis and approaching buyers.
The consultants are expected to start this assignment during 09/05 – 26/05/2024
