From 2023, March 8th to 10th, the delegation of the Germany Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Helvetas Intercooperation gGmbH (Germany) and Center for Rural Economy Development – CRED visited and worked in projects of improving the livelihoods of farmers in the North of Vietnam has been implemented from 2021 up to now in two provinces of Lao Cai and Phu Tho.

After field visit and working with the artichoke source area and medicinal factory of Traphaco; the banana source areas and banana fiber production cooperatives in Bao Thang (Lao Cai) and Tam Nong (Phu Tho), Representatives of BMZ and Helvetas Germany appreciate CRED in the management and implementation of projects sponsored by BMZ and Helvetas Germany. At the same time, the delegation recognizes the opportunities and potentials of Lao Cai province in replicating the circular economy model from banana production.
